Dressing for any occasion can always be a bit challenging but by sticking to a few basic rules, the process becomes less stressful and more enjoyable. More than anything, I like to feel comfortable in what I am wearing, especially if I am going to be out and about during the day. Tennis shoes, flats, sandals (depending on the season) and a comfortable bootie work great during those longer days. Although most women love a bigger bag, I prefer to carry a small bag to not only limit the amount of junk I might otherwise carry if I have the extra room but the option of wearing it as a cross body. Especially when I am shopping or running errands, the ability to have both hands free makes all the difference. Even a backpack can work in place of the usual purse, which is great for traveling too. Another rule of thumb I tend to stick to is always bring a jacket, or at least wear a long sleeve shirt, especially during the winter season. You never know how cold restaurants, stores, offices, etc can get. Below are a few causal day looks that I put together. For a night time look, I always try to wear some type of heel or bootie but it has to be comfortable, otherwise I will be complaining all night. If you wear a shoe that allows for comfort, your night will be much more enjoyable. I also love to accessorize, even if it is something as simple as a necklace. Adding small touches to an outfit can give it that extra something to create the perfect look. I myself like to wear colors that do not clash but compliment each other, which works well in a professional setting.
